Russian Volga Germans 1916-1918

Want to read a true, firsthand written journal account about the actual life of a Volga German during the Russian Revolution period 1916-18?  Henry Wieler was a teacher in the Samara community and recorded at great risk the daily events he experienced at that time. These accounts describe the effects of government policy on the  Volga Germans.  They were persecuted and controlled in every aspect of their lives which forced many to flee. Henry was one of those fortunate to eventually escape with his family and  settle in the USA along with the meticulous journals he had written.
